Summary:
Te Vietnam Women’s Academy has 13.7% students fom ethnic minorities,
mainly the Nung, Tai, Mong, Tay, and Muong. Ethnic minority students have their own
specifc characteristics of culture, psychology, customs and habits which certainly influences
their learning activities. Terefore, the academy has focused on group social work activities
for them. In this article, the author shares the research results on assessing the demand and
status of the group social work with ethnic minority students at the Vietnam Women’s
Academy. Tereby, the author proposes solutions to develop the model of the group social
work with ethnic minority students at the Vietnam Women’s Academy in particular, and
suggestions for the model with Vietnamese ethnic minority students.
